| Notes for David Rogers Disbrow | ||||||||||
| Here's what I have, which isn't much: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1850 U.S. Census, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, Boston, 4th Ward - page 185 - DISBROW, D. R. - age 24 - male - born N. Y. - occupation "Riding Master" - (listed as an employee of an inn run by a C. P. Wilson) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I believe this man was DAVID ROGERS-7 DISBROW (Henry Disbrow descendant), son of William Davis & Mary (Jenkins) Disbrow, b. 2 June 1826, d. 1 Jan. 1877, m. Elizabeth Herrick. This would make sense as David was the brother of WILLIAM HENRY-7 DISBROW, who we believe is the same one shown as running the Riding Academy in NYC through at least 1861. Of course this doesn't prove David Rogers Disbrow was the one who operated the Disbrow & Co. Riding School in Boston, but it might be a good clue. Old Boston city directories or later census records might help. Anyone have access to those? Mike39 | ||||||||||
